Those apartments are ratty. Gross place. Definitely NOT an Oasis by any means.

He had to be in cardiac arrest if he wasn't sent to ORMC.

`The man shot lived directly above me in the Oasis Apartments. The apartment appeared to have quite a bit of illicit "drug" activity during the 5 months I have lived here. He seemed a decent man, although I did not know him that well...granted he seemed to keep...less that great company...On one occasion his "group of friends" proceeded to talk down to me and my friends...a sad day truly, when you cant even trust your "well protected complex"

Oh and btw as a response to "Nati Kid" Living here, these apartments are infact...NOT ratty, and are not Gross, they are very nice, and very well maintained...A really nice environment, normally very quiet, and surreal...Tonight was a freak occurrence, and from my knowledge, not normal at all in this complex

Yeah, I looked at the complex just the other day. It looks very nice.

i lived in altamonte from 78-88. it was nice then before all the orange groves were replaced with apartments.

Trust me on this one, drugs were involved. The apartment is a dump and is located real close to that cesspool of a ghetto off 427, the Winwood section of Altamonte Springs.

And how about a description? Oh yeah, I forgot, no description when it involves minorities.

Regardless of the circumstances, I feel horrible for the family and the residants who probably will not have a good night of sleep for a while.

if the dead man just cracked the door open & is the only one who saw them, it would be a bit hard to get a description, I'd think.......

I don't really see this as a "home invasion", as they shot him when he opened the door, and didn't even enter the home. I'd just call this a "murder".

That's why all my doors are made out of bullet-proof onion skins.

What are you talking about?? That apartment is nowhere near Winwood. They are on opposite sides of I-4, with several miles in between.

I do agree with you that drugs or something illicit were no doubt behind this.
