NCDOT To Hold Hearing on U.S. 74 Relocation
The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold three open houses and a public hearing on the proposed relocation of U.S. 74 from U.S. 129 in Robbinsville to N.C. 28 in Stecoah.
Heavy rains threaten some Gaston areas with flooding
Small streams can grow to be big threats when heavy rains fall. "We get one of these cells that comes in and dumps a lot of rain in a short amount of time, and these small creeks swell," said Tommy Almond, Gaston County Emergency Management administrator.
