The alligator is gone from Q.V. Sykes Park. Officials with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks had it removed Monday night. via WTOK-TV Meridian

Alligator hunt: Night lost, but hours increase

Fant's is one of those restaurants you might have heard of but have no clue where it is.
Part of that is, it's relatively new. Another reason is, it's on Rose Farm Road in Ocean Springs, a mystery address unless you're familiar with that area. See the side box with this review for easy directions. I apologize to regulars who cherish their little secret, but you can't keep a good thing on the QT for long.
My dining companion and I braved the snail-like traffic on I-110 North last Thursday to make it from Biloxi to Ocean Springs for our 5:30 p.m. reservation (we were 10 minutes late, but all was forgiven). Read more
