Misty R. Simko, 29, of Mayville was charged at 5:03 p.m. on Monday with petit larceny.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office are advising residents of the Olean area to lock their vehicles following a recent string of break-ins. Sheriff's say multiple break-ins have been reported this week in the Town of Allegany, Village of Allegany, and Town of Olean.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff put out a plea today to the public for information the case of Traci Douglass, the woman whose remains were found in the Allegany Resevoir in 2009.

Prosecutors say John Williams, 29, of Olean sexually abused a child under the age of 11 between March 2006 and November 2007 in the Town of Allegany, engaging in oral and anal sexual conduct with the child.
