Vallejo needs to cut the deadwood management as well, and all those city vehicles they drive home- OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I see! I think I get it...

We merge and share the cost, with no over sight and little accountability. We can then proceed to continue the same-old-sheet, playing with the money entrusted to us.

E-N-A-B-L-I-N-G!

Once again, life is wonderful until them chickens come home to roost!

Stop spending like a Democrat. One would be amazed how easy a budget is and how well it all works.

Having worked with the City Staff in Benicia on a few projects, I think that this is a great idea. I have never seen a group more committed to finding the best solution. Charley Knox is bright and straight forward, just the kind of person to help bridge any communication gaps that might come up in the transition.

Vallejo could learn a lot from Benicia. Campaign funding reform---done, merging depts to save money--working on it/ Very cool, safe downtown--done. Balanced budget---done. Great school system---done.

and most importantly, do not allow your town to fill with an abundance of social misfits, coddling non-profits, and "affordable housing", or live in a blue smoke haze dream state of a "new" progressive city while the aforementioned run rampant and multiply like rabbits.

Our neighboring cities all have significant light/heavy industrial components and huge commercial centers providing sales tax revenues while we watch businesses leave and then blame the employees from staff/council level.
This has to be the common thread for new candidates in November, to quit chasing this re-invented Vallejo theme and fall in line with what is working around us.

The only good to come out of this "merge" would be to assist Vallejo, and Benicia to pick up extra work, to make extra $$$$. And, does that mean VPD will work in Benicia at times? I think this is not a good idea, because we haven't heard that BPD is in need of help. Maybe a vonlunteer project to start. See how it goes before a total merge.

The merger is of two BENICIA departments; not any merger between Benicia and Vallejo.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
