I see this young man as a hero, who served the best of what our country stands for. God bless him and his family.

It is OUR duty to demand the truth about why he served, whether there were other options, who made $$ off of his service, etc.

First off, a big thank you to this brave young man who went into harm's way at the request of his country. Second, condolences to his wife and his family. They will miss him, not for a day or a week, but forever. Death is not reversible and leaves lasting marks that cannot be seen. Third, the man was doing a job of protecting his fellow soldiers, he was not on a mission to kill local citizens, but rather to defend himself and those serving with him. So the nasty comments of MARAT really have no merit or place in what is essentially an obituary or a memorial of the man's life.

Lastly, may he rest in peace in the hands and company of the Lord, and may his family find peace in the thought that they will meet again, someday, in that same place.

Chris was a wonderful and honorable young man, who served his country with honor and intregrity. I've watched Chris grow and mature over the years, from the spunky teenager who like all the boy's in the group, got in and out of mischief in one breath, and did great deeds for others in the next breath, into a loving husband, son, brother, who put God and country above self. My deepest sympathy to Chri's widow Robin, father, mother, sisters, friends. I thank Chris for the pleasure of having been a part of his beautiful life, and for his service and personal sacrifice. It was my honor to have known you little one.

People stop replying to Marat. Every time you click on reply, his disgusting words are repeated and to get them out of theis thread, they will have to remove your posts as well.
My heart aches for this young man and his family and friends. Go in peace child.

This man served because he wanted to, he voluntarily offered his life to serve his country, this man died for your rights, let him rest in peace as a WAR HERO, my prayers are with him and his family. God Bless them all.

Check again the oath that anyone joining the military takes. And you are welcome that you still have the right of free speech.

And you are a fool if you do not know what the oath a military person swears too. But then you have not and never will serve. Just another coward.

Quit telling other bloggers that they can't blog. Just plain silly since it is the United States of America.

Ignore them, if you're offended or find the blogger an "a@@hole"...type something worth reading.

Show your country's spirit, patriotism, strength, liberty and freedoms that any person in the world would want as a human being on this earth.

God rest this soldier's soul. Private Kurth did what he wanted to do...not what he was told to do...and, that was to enlist in the United States Armed forces for whatever reason(s) he felt compelled to do so.

Private Kurth - to a great American and to your family and friends - you are in all of our thoughts and prayers.

If it makes you feel better to think US soldiers fighting colonialist wars are "defending our freedoms," I respect your right to be ignorant. But no matter how long and how hard you rail about it, you will never convince me. Ain't America grand?

If he just died to make a buck in the Army, he could have stopped when he got injured and the Purple Heart. He didn't go back to make a buck, he went back because he believed in people and a cause. Clearly more than you do.

For some of you, to say he joined the army, for a buck, is like saying teachers, teach to get rich. I knew the young man personally, and he truely did what he believed in. Do not use his death as a way to voice your opinion about the war. His death is the reason you can voice your opinion. We will remember Chris for what he brought to the lives of those around him. I wish his family well, and for them to know that he was loved and respected. Semper Fi my Brother. God Bless
