Did he talk about the WAR 90 miles away in Juarez?
They announced that the Mexican Army will be leaving the Juarez area soon and BAM! the violence resumes anew as the warring cartels compete to get the upper hand on one another. There is a way to end the control these cartels have over the lives of the people along the border.
Take away their main sourch of income, very simple! That main source of income is mota, griefa, marijuana,(whatever you wish to call it), the #1 selling and most widely used of all the crap they need the smuggling routes for.
When will the US people take a stand and demand their rights?
After nearly four decades of fueling the U.S. policy of a war on drugs with over a trillion tax dollars and 37 million arrests for nonviolent drug offenses, our confined population has quadrupled making building prisons the fastest growing industry in the United States. More than 2.2 million of our citizens are currently incarcerated and every year we arrest an additional 1.9 million more guaranteeing those prisons will be bursting at their seams. Every year we choose to continue this war will cost U.S. taxpayers another 69 billion dollars. Despite all the lives we have destroyed and all the money so ill spent, today illicit drugs are cheaper, more potent, and far easier to get than they were 35 years ago at the beginning of the war on drugs. Meanwhile, people continue dying in our streets while the drug barons and cartels continue to grow richer than ever before. Richer than the American "Mafia" and the Kennedy Family, much richer.
We would suggest that this scenario must be the very definition of a failed public policy. This madness must cease before the cartels get even richer and more people die in vain.

They didn't have any cotton-pickin time to debate the stimulus bill? They didn't even have enough cotton-picken time to read it.

Rather than hold such an event at a privately owned business I would much prefer some public location where one doesn't feel obligated to make a purchase or if you will, "pay" to talk to my representative.

Totally agree. And, what list did you have to be on to know he was coming?

Now people, What do you expect from the local mayor who changed his political party, With a small place, and no public announcement, I wonder if the place was packed with people who might not of been there normally. It is too bad that the city civic center was not used, which would of allowed more to attend, But is anyone really suprised about this story.

I got a call from Teague annouceing that we would be at that location, but choose to never go there since the Mayor announced that he really was a Yellow Dog Democrat and was just a republican to get elected.

I agree if the guy wants to talk to the people then get a place that will hold some people and get the word out. My guess is he would rather just meet with his close buds like the mayor. Wonder if any of the shifty nifty fifty were there? The mayor may say he is a yellow dog democrat but maybe you could just drop the dog part.

Daily Horoscope for November 16

Leo

The New Moon in your fourth house of home and family may find you longing to stay cuddled up in bed. Many of you will want to sleep late this morning, but few of you have the luxury to do so. If you can spend more time at home with your family in the coming days, you'll be glad you did. In the immortal words of Dorothy: 'There's no place like home!'
