Dance company brings a little bit of Hawaii to Alameda

Full story: Ledger Dispatch

Lani Cid-Iulio's students call her "Auntie Lani," and her assistant at Halau Makana Polynesian Dance Company in Alameda is "Auntie Julia." It's a fitting tribute to women who have spent the past 12 years bringing a little bit of Hawaii to the mainland.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
