Alameda school chief to retire
The departure of Ardella Dailey, who has held various positions within the district over the past 20 years, comes just weeks after voters narrowly passed Measure H, an annual parcel tax aimed at injecting cash into the financially-troubled district.
Dailey announced she was leaving on Wednesday.
She pledged to spend the next six months working on a smooth transition for her successor.
