Alameda Point Shortchanged on Parks Bond Money
Alameda Point is set to receive only about $6.5 million from an East Bay Regional Parks District bond measure, while Concord Naval Weapons Station has been allocated $16 million to acquire land for parks. Alameda Point has been shortchanged on parks money because the City's Mayor is determined to build new housing at Alameda Point to repay her campaign contributors.
