That was 16 years ago, things are different today. The LAW is the LAW.

It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to drink. Therefore anyone hosting or supplying alcohol to them should be held accountable. The court system must also do its part in making sure that the consequences fit the charges. If they are let off then they do it again. It is about time that we send a message saying we are no longer going to allow this to continue. I do not want my child attending a party where alcohol is freely being served to minors and the parent is full aware it is going on. Parents can not assure that they will not some how get a hold of their car keys or someone elses and drive. The consequences could be deadly for many. Don't think it can happen? You're dead wrong! Parents and citizens must report underage drinking parties!

It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to drink? Haha. The amount of mistakes and mis-truths on these blogs are hilarious.
Concerned Parents, you've been here before and used "irregardless" and now "under the age of 18". Read please or at least be silent.

Kids aren't dumb. They turn their car keys over to the parent having the under age drinking party. Did you know that some vehicles have more than one set of keys. Under age drinking is AGAINST THE LAW, PERIOD! Wise up.

Mother's Day & the Feast of Pentecost is a great time for some healing between students & parents. Perhaps even a time for beginning to rebuild trust. So we open the Sunday Paper to see that the self appointed guardians of the community are once again reminding us of our mistakes & the evil we have done. This wonderful newspaper puts on the face of taking the high road & showing us all the proper way to live. Rest assured folks, as these editors & writers sit at their computers over the next few days they will grin to themselves & think (perhaps outloud) "OK.... who can I screw next?" Who's next? Today's paper indicates that maybe the ODCC is on their naughty list. Beware: Your club, church, school or children could be next. Be merciful, York Newspapers, for we have sinned. For that we will make headlines.

I just wonder how many adults making comments against teenagers drinking drank themselves as a teenager?? I realize it is against the law so it is wrong, but people are so hypocritical when they probably did it themselves. I am an adult with a grown daughter and a son getting close to 18. I do not understand how an 18 year old is an adult, able to pay taxes, vote, get married, have children, DIE for their country, but they are NOT responsible enough to drink????? It does sound ridiculous. I do believe they need to either LOWER the drinking age or RAISE they age of adulthood!!!

They can die for their country if they CHOOSE to serve! Their is no draft so there is no chance of someone picking them off the street, shoving a gun in their hand and sending them off to war! If someone decides to enlist then maybe they can be a right to drink underage for them.
