The more the better. But who is best educated and can manage this city? Who has generated a good clean life and not counted on the city to hand them a paycheck?

1 a lot of accomplished retired people who would be willing to participate but for dealing with the stupidity of the "true locals" crowd. |

1 If elected he will fill the bellies and provide health care for the poor immigrants who struggle so hard in this community. Cove is the man in huMANity. Put Cove on the ballot. |

1 “Stop neighborhood crime & urban sprawl” “Protect the natural environment & cultural heritage” “Support local business and diverse economic opportunity” “Secure municipal efficiency & financial stability” Absolutely and without doubt, these declarations are the positive conversations that need forwarding into the community of Santa Fe. Once we take responsibility for the conversations we have and the life we give those conversations, change can be had. If we do not like the way things are, then we need to change our conversations. |

We, should do our own "informal" election. Right here in our own little forum.

1 If this is a forum election then I cast my vote for Russell Simon, District 1, as he is educated, compassionate, loves Santa Fe, listens and responds, is a hard, hard worker, informed on issues, has thoughtful solutions to major city issues and is not part of any political machine. I can vouch for those qualities despite and because I am one of his grandmothers--full disclaimer. |

1 I voted for Coss in 06 and have regretted it ever since. It came as a shock that his primary agenda as Mayor was not good and efficient basic city services, but rather illegal immigrant rights. homeless, and affordable housing. During the Coss administration "sanctuary" has become synonymous with soft on crime and a tolerant attitude towards crime and bad behavior in our community. As a result we are attracting illegal immigrants and homeless with criminal records from around the country and Central America. Many of our police and emergency fire department believe that as many as half of the calls they respond to daily are now coming from the surging homeless population. The police are not able to arrest these people because of the city's hands off policies. Not surprising, it appears that the police and fire department unions will not support Coss in the upcoming election because of his mismanagement of the underlying causes of crime in Santa Fe. I am a registered Democrat, but will be voting for a mayoral candidate, regardless of whether they are Democrat or Republican, that plans to tackle crime by solving the underlying problems creating it. Coss's policies have created crime, while he then attempts to shuffle the issues off to residents and other city departments to deal with. |

1 What do you say we do with our surging homeless population? I`d say surging homelessness is common to most Cities. Do you propose we round them up, and stick them somewhere? |

1 You'll have to ask some one other than Miguel for that answer. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, that's for sure. His educational level is a GED from Young Jr. High and literacy classes from the commununity college.Maybe the person who fed him the words "cultural and heritage tourism" can respond it'll be very helpful. |
