Train Derailment

What does that have to do with some idiot parking on a grade crossing and getting squashed. I hear loads of sqwaking about how unsafe those crossings are and how they should all have crossing barriers and warning lights... I think for the most part people need to excercise a little common sense, take responsibility for themselves.

When are people gonna wake up and realize that trains are a disaster waiting to happen. They are too heavy, innefficient, and just plain annoying with their horns barreling through towns. They cant even stop.

Its insane to have a train. In this day and age where there are more smart people, you would think they would take the time to invent something better and tell the railroad companies to go back to the civil war.

typical ignorant redneck. think about every thing you buy is hauled by a train in one way or another. the containers that are brought by ship to the ports then transported to rail and then to truck to be delivered to your famous "WAL MART" or local convience store.

the chemicals you use to run your cars or tractors and even the pesticides you use on the farm are transported by rail to the customers and then also by truck..

so Moron eliminate the rails and you get rid of the truckers and then commerce and you have nothing.

regarding the annoying horns. We would gladly stop blowing the horn if STUPID people would stay off the tracks or running the gates. But we are required by FEDERAL law to activate the horn so to make sure all those that are too busy in their lives at a crossing will know we are coming

LOL! Bubba here has No clue! LOLOLOLOL. I guess he would rather have his new Grand Theft Auto video games and condoms shipped by truck from the ports on the west coast and pay double or triple for those items. I also suspect Bubba has no clue about increased congestion and pollution from the number of trucks on the road vs. one intermodal train interlined from the UPRR to CSX to bring those goods to his local Wal-Mart.

Trains are the backbond of American, and can haul a lot more for what fuel cost is today. This person is the same kind of people that drive around the crossing gates.
