Homeless hardworking people are on the streets after losing their jobs and these guys who rob,rape,murder,and fool hardworking people are having good meals.This is America folks ?

The Daily Bulletin should be ashamed of writing as if this is such a good thing and we really care. I think it's obvious that the paper chose this story to get "under our skin," for the attention and they think this must be the only way to get readers.

Thanks Daily Bulletin - I will sleep better knowing that these low-lifes will have a nice holiday meal. It is sickening to know that these people will probably have a better meal than A LOT of people - people who actually deserve a good meal.

Like so many others, this article makes me sick! My husband and I are about one payment away from losing it all and I guarantee you we will not be eating white turkey meat, etc. for Christmas. Hell, we won't even being getting gifts for each other or for our 2 year old little girl.

These inmates don't deserve anything! Put them in Arizona in tents and let them eat green bologna sandwiches WITHOUT watching T.V.

Having retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. The county has been serving turkey dinners ( actually the noon meal) for many many years. Its not the turkey grandma cooks, its actually processed turkey which isn't that good. Its actually a very simple meal, no different than what they are fed the rest of the year

IF they really wanted to be home with their families then maybe they shouldn't be commiting crimes - Just a thought!!

They should have thought about being home before they assaulted innocent people.

Maybe the negative comments come from tax payers tired of footing the bill to enable a group of felons to have a holiday feast. I'll just go ahead and guess correctly, you are unemployed, dont pay taxes, receive assistance and never finished high school. I bet i'm pretty close!

You are a complete idiot! These inmates have CHOSEN their futures. I CHOOSE to stay out of jail and be with my family all of the time, therefore, I do not break laws that would put me behind bars away from my family.

It is very apparent that you and/or your family/friends choose to break the law and take a gamble on ending up incarcerated. What a bunch of low-life losers...

The only thing you're right on is that I've been in prison. I have most definitely graduated not only from high school but from college, and not while in prison. I have a job, a fairly good paying one, and I've never not paid my taxes. I received assitance twice in my life, food stamps for 2 months each time, until I found another job.

No, jail isn't filled with law-abiding citizens who have done nothing wrong. But the numbers in there for rape, robbery, and murder are far fewer than you'd like us to believe. Having been there, I'd know a bit better than you.

As for taxpayers footing the bill to pay for inmates to feast, sheeze you don't even pay for the homeless to feast. The feast, as you call it, is pressed meat that you wouldn't feed a dog, and most of the other parts of the meal are third rate parts, at best. In my 5 years behind bars, I had one meal prepared by the prison that was good. And that was a 4th of July outdoor picnic. You can't ruin pb&j sandwiches no matter how hard you try.

Not all inmates are pieces of garbage and not all pieces of garbage are inmates.
