A 26-year-old Adams man died early Thursday morning when a semi-tractor hit him along Third Avenue, authorities said.

LEROY T. DOYLE, 33, of Middleton, at 11:26 a.m. Monday at Interstate 90/39 and West Avalon Road in Janesville, for felony fleeing.

As part of its weekly update, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation issued the following road construction details: Highway: WIS 13 Location: Gillette Drive to Adams County E Schedule: April 22 to June 15, 2013 Cost: $2.9 million Description: Crews will resurface 15.5 miles of the highway.

Municipal and economic development leaders say they're going to do everything they can to support a proposed power plant and manufacturing facility they hope will make Adams County an epicenter of a novel renewable energy technology.

As the rain falls and the Rock River continues to rise, county officials have found it necessary to close S. River Road due to water over the pavement in several places.
