Abbeville boy killed by own rifle

An 11-year-old Abbeville boy was killed Thursday evening when his rifle accidentally discharged while he was climbing down a tree on Old Hodges Road, the coroner said.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. No matter what happened in this situation the important thing to remember is two parents lost a child and a little girl lost a big brother. Please save your lessons for a later time and just pray for this family. God bless the Evans family and know that I am with you in your time of bereavement.
