The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Geraldine Angers, and the late Robert "Bob" Angers, and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Veazey. Mr. Risher, whose mother is the former Julie Duplantis, is a 2003 graduate of St. Thomas More High School, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Mr. Risher is the grandson of Maunette Risher, and the late James T. Risher, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Caliste Duplantis Jr. Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
