Man smoking burns more than 50% of his body

It seems reading the Sun-Times is getting more like a Rag paper every day.. the headlines are misleading.. Chicago newspaper deserve to go belly up..

I'm confused. The headline, and at least part of the text, imply that the man set himself on fire accidentally by smoking (as so many people have by falling asleep with a lit cigarette, for example). Yet the last sentence suggests that he set himself on fire deliberately, in which case the smoking would seem to be irrelevant. What is the point of the story?

The likely point is all smokers are drug addicts going down a path of suicide. Therefore smokers are total idiots.

Actually most smokers who start fires while smoking were DRUNK..fell asleep with a cigarette.. I worked with a girl kept telling stories how she would come home drunk start something to eat and pass out.. she started her house on fire more than once (which causes MORE fires than someone falling asleep with a cigarette)..killed her pet and almost herself.. and STILL does the same sh*t.. thank God she doesn't smoke too well come to think of it she said she does smoke but only when she drinks?? Glad she's not my neighbor..

People who die in auto accidents are usually innocent victims. Their death is the result of negligence by others. Cigarette smokers are drug addicts who cause their own deaths due to lack of will power to overcome their addiction. They are not innocent victims, they're simply stupid idiots addicted to drugs. Weak people,with weak minds, bent on suicide. So, who are the real idiots. Smart peole would say cigarette addict are the true idiots. Enjoy your denial, idiot.

The point you non-smokers never get is smokers know the risks. This story is case in point. Now there's the clean air act and most smokers don't mind. So since we're not smoking around non-smokers, why the rant?

The reason is because if you weren't bitching about smoking, you'd be bitching about something else because you're just a whinny bitch.
