I applaud you for educating your staff on this issue. A lot of times people with a mental illness have to be put in jail before they can be evaluated. My brother would not voluntarily go to Border Health, but had to break into a house and steal a truck and get arrested for him to be evaluated (he is schizophrenic). I understand that we are responsible for our actions, i just wish he could have gotten help before it got to this. Awareness and Education is key, again thank you for bringing this issue up.

I seem to recall from past actions of Sheriff Cobos as reported in the Deming Headlight that he and his hirlings would rather shoot his constituants in the legs and feet first, then send them to hospitals so they can escape or have them deported to Mexico, rather than get them mental help.

Someone please teach this to the people involved in the Albuquerque P.D. recruiting, selection and training processes to see if they will be a bit more careful not to hire so many killers, rapists, thieves and all-around sociopaths.

Mayor for Life Marty Chavez keeps a "mental list". It's a list of enemies and he considers anyone that is against him or his policies a "mental case". All those trips to Red China have had an effect. He's adopted Communist methods to deal with his enemies and he thinks he ought to be in power until he dies.
