Renegade potato state making it difficult for exporters

The American midwestern state of Idaho has become somewhat of a renegade in the matter of potato sales, according to Joe Brennan, chairman of Potatoes New Brunswick's board of directors, and because of that they now have a pot of cash to overcome any problems that may arise with other potato producing states or provinces.

No curling in Perth-Andover

Unless there is a rush of paying curlers in the next few weeks, there will be no curling this winter at the Legion Curling Club in Perth-Andover. Last week the club president, Steve Leonard, told the Victoria Star that there were not enough curlers and therefore not enough volunteers to continue the programs for adults, juniors, and Little Rocks.
