Esgenoôpetitj ( Burnt Church) First Nation ,New Brunswick, Sex Offenders:sexual assault

Dec. 09, 2009

A 29-year old Burnt Church man has been charged with first degree murder in the death of his 16-year old cousin Hilary Bonnell. The body of the teenaged girl was discovered buried in a remote wooded area commonly known as the old Tracadie Military Training Area last month. She had been missing since September 5, 2009.

On December 8, 2009, the murder charge was laid in Miramichi Provincial Court against Curtis Wayne Bonnell. He is to appear in court in Miramichi at a later date. The RCMP investigation has led police to believe that Curtis Bonnell acted alone in the death of Hilary Bonnell.

Bonnell is a know sex offender and had been released from Prison about 2 years ago after serving 5 years for a previous sexual assault.

Bonnell will next return to court on Dec. 21 at 2:30 p.m. to plead to unrelated charges of sexual assault, unlawful confinement, resisting arrest and engaging in anal intercourse against 17 year old girl on Nov.8th at his residence.

Allan David Heim gets 4 years for rape of 17 year old

Canadian Crime News: : Sex Offences / Offenders

Canadian Sex Offenders Registry

Moncton, New Brunswick, Sex Offenders:sexual assault

October 20, 2005

A 17 year-old Albert County girl had finished school on March 2 and went home to find she had a visitor.

Allan David Heim, 35, was waiting on her front step. She knew Heim, because he knew the girl's mother, but was no longer on good terms with her.

Heim told the girl he wanted to talk, but they soon got in to an arguement. "Eventually Mr. Heim started making threats towards her," Crown prosecutor Anthony Allman said yesterday, in Moncton provincial court. "He made remarks about knives and having guns."

Heim talked about things he'd done in the past and made reference to biker gangs.

He finally forced the frightened girl into the house, brought her to a bedroom and ordered her to strip. He forced her to lie on the bed and then raped her.

Heim was in court yesterday for sentencing on sexual assault, assault and other charges. The large, tattooed man with the handlebar moustache sat in the prisoners dock, across the courtroom from his slight victim.

Heim recently pleaded guilty to the charges.

The mother came home later and found Heim there. She began yelling at him and demanded to know where her daughter was.

He grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into the house.

The police were eventually called and Heim was arrested because there was an outstanding warrant for him.

The girl then told police what he did and charges were laid.

He was charged with sexually assaulting the girl, assaulting the mother, breaching a court undertaking, assaulting another woman at the mother's workplace on a different date and failing to appear in court.

Judge Dugas-Horsman sentenced Heim to four years in prison, plus an additional 30 days for failing to pay an earlier restitution order.

He's been on remand for five months and was given credit for that time, meaning he's already served 10 months of his sentence. Heim will also be listed on the national sex offender registry for the next 20 years.

Police apathy forces family to dig up possible burial site

Canadian Crime News: Atlantic:

Nov.29, 2009

This is a story about the lack of effort or interest into Kimberley's case.

This is a story that cries out to be told and gotten out.

Back in 1985,15 year old Kimberley Ann Amero was officially classified as a Runaway.

On Oct. 14th of this year, the family of Kimberley Ann Amero received a anonymous letter and cassette, from a man, detailing the disappearance, containment and subsequent murder of Kimberley, along with sites and locations of her captivity and burial location.

All of that information was given to the Saint John city police and the RCMP.

As far as verifying the locations, names, dates and times, this was done by the family, the RCMP did not even have time to listen to the audio cassette , and even asked Ed Amero, Kimberley's brother, if he could listen to the cassette again and tell them how far in, the person starts giving directions as to where his sister may be buried.
