Peel Region reports one case of measles linked to Toronto cluster
- Peel Public Health is reporting a case of measles linked to a recent cluster of cases in Toronto.
Toronto Public Health officials have been monitoring nine cases of measles since March 11. Although officials called it an outbreak, the risk of infection is considered low because of high immunization rates.
Meanwhile, Guelph, Ont., has 12 confirmed cases.
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health says three other suspected cases in the area are under investigation.
Measles began spreading in Guelph last month after a man caught the disease in Toronto and returned home. Read more
