Proposed Convoy To Springfield

With no help in sight from the federal government and the oil companies on the rising fuel costs in this country, I say it is time we look to local government to help with this growing problem...

Not sure about it. The last time it was done, a lot of times it was not passed on to the customer at the pump, the oil companies just kept the money as extra profit. Meanwhile, the state is broke, is about to lose several billion is Federal matching funds because the state can't come up with it's share of the money. A lot of the roads are in such bad condition that repairs can't be postponed any longer. Maybe a law to require the fuel surcharge to be on the paperwork and be completely passed on to whoever pays for the fuel. This could only be enforced on loads that pick up and/or deliver in Illinois. Trucks just going through Illinois would not fall under Illinois jurisdiction, however the other states could adopt similar laws.

I say the trucking companies and railroads team up and shut down until prices come down. BNSF railroad(which is the 2nd largest in the nation that uses 13 million gallons of diesel a day). Wit nobody using fuel prices would have to drop
