People don't understand what symbols are,
what they stand for,
Im not a fanatic of surfing but i feel people should respect historic things
What if something they cherish dissapears would they be upset.
ofcourse the would be. I'm sure someone must of seen something. The pier is never empty come on people speak up dont become a dirt back, become a hero.

I hope the pier is not busted forever though. There is still time to fix it anyway.

I don't want to be a dirt back either though. That's why I take a shower at least once a week if I need it or not anyway.

Thieves who steal things just to recycle them should be smelted themselves...

When you see people digging through trash for items they can take to recyclers, call the police immediately and give their description and license plate.

These people are stealing from the waste haulers, and are stealing from everyone else when the opportunity presents itself. Even when things are "bolted down" (like this bust) they are still stolen.

On the long list of things that won't get a cop away from his donut (or Jamba Juice) is this one.
Now if there had been some indication that the bust had been stolen, they might have rolled instead of ordering another cup.

I'm glad they still have the mold, but what're they going to do to prevent some jerkwad from stealing the new one? lol. Maybe they should electrify it. It'll keep the seagulls off too, lol.

Contact the ECC art department - they still should have a sculpture program and all the tools and skills needed to cast a new bust.

And PLEASE do electrify the new one, and also add a camera so that we can all see the sure-to-be entertaining results when the next drug-crazed tweekers try to steal it!

With copper & $3.31 per # melted down the bust would have netted about $150. Hardly worth it, you'd think.
THATS ENOUGH FOR A DAY.
