Legg Mason Posts Second Straight Loss; Shares Rise as Withdrawals Decline
Legg Mason Inc. reported a second straight quarterly loss as subpar investment returns led to $18.4 billion in customer redemptions and the Baltimore-based company bailed out money funds saddled with bad debt.
