Ballard Power Systems still on track to double its product shipments in 2008
“I'm happy the company has shifted its course”
- Ballard Power Systems (TSX:BLD) says it is still on track to double its product shipments this year despite challenges it expects in two of its three core businesses.
The Vancouver-based fuel cell company said it shipped a total of 284 product units in the first quarter, a 125 per cent increase compared to the 126 units for the same period last year.
Ballard, which sold its automotive development business earlier this year to focus on forklifts, backup power and residential cogeneration, plans to sell more than 1,700 units in 2008. Read more
