Two-year colleges, Voc-ed Have a Champion
Schwarzenegger has attempted, with some success, to reverse those trends, championing budget appropriations and legislation to boost voc-ed and community colleges and often visiting institutions to bring more media and public attention to their vital roles. He staged a "career technical education summit" last spring and placed $52 million in the current state budget to improve career and technical education, or CTE, including creating stronger connections between high school and community college vocational programs.
