Fluoride Harmful - Take it out of Water
If fluoride is a toxic chemical and our government warnings regarding toothpaste and mouthwash are harsh, it may be a red flag to stop adding fluoride to our water.
Porcelain veneers could ruin your teeth, your smile... and your life | Mail Online
I returned three weeks later for a gruelling one-and-a-half hour session where he drilled back ten teeth ready for the veneers.
It felt like a physical assault. Having the enamel of healthy teeth blasted away is every bit as invasive as the surgeon's scalpel slicing into your skin. Sitting in his chair, my mouth numbed by the anaesthetic and my lips blown up like lilos (or so it felt), I kept telling myself how thrilled I would be with my new smile. After 90 minutes of drilling and drooling, the 'temporaries' were fitted.

Bush dentist delay anger - Australia
ANGER is building in the bush as regional Queenslanders have to wait up to three and a half years for basic dental care due to lack of cash and planning.
I was informed by the receptionist that before I can be considered for acceptance onto the dentists list I have to have a dental x-ray performed! Yes, I said 'before'. I queried why this was and the reply was somewhat vague and confusing I have to say. She seemed (I say seemed because she was so vague it was hard to decipher any real meaning in the conversation) to be suggesting that if the x-ray indicates I need much work I won't be accepted! Now forgive me here if you are a dentist reading this but it smacks yet again to me of dentistry in this country no longer being about care or integrity but being about making the buck! I know we all have to make a living and I appreciate many of the issues dentists have had over recent years with the government but at some point I wonder if they could stop in-fighting and consider us, the patient stuck in the middle!
Local Dentist on Olympic Age Controversy
Dr. Swing says she noticed teeth missing from He in a video that's typical of a child age 8 or 9 instead of 16. "I notice that one of them, when they did smile, they looked off-camera--and somebody must have said something, because her mouth was shut immediately. So I think someone is knowing that this is a giveaway. I'm concerned about their mental health."

Dental technology makes crowns fast
The piece of porcelain that was fitted permanently over his bad tooth was created by a machine called a CEREC3, which is actually two machines in one.
The first one is a two-foot computer with a screen that is positioned near the patient. After the affected tooth is prepared for a crown, a dental technician coats the tooth with a tasteless powder that shows up on a 3D camera, which makes an optical impression.
A crown is then designed to fit over the impaired tooth -- nooks, crannies and all -- a process that takes about 30 minutes.
With the push of a button, a small block of porcelain is carved into a crown in a nearby milling machine. That takes about 15 minutes..
