Could the Toyota Camry become the best-selling vehicle in the U.S.? It could happen, if sales keep falling for large pickups, and cars keep climbing up the list of Top 10-selling vehicles. via BusinessWeek

1 There *is* a God and he has decided to grant my most fervent wish - an end to these soot-spewing status symbols of wretched excess. |

1 That's OK. You can't afford diesel to power your jacka55 craft, so my life is great! Unfortunately for you, nobody wants your 6MPG POS. You might consider converting it to a birdbath or yard art. At least that way, you'll recoup a few hundred of the $45,000 or more you spent on that soot-spewing POS. |

1 Looks like the pot calling the kettle black!! Since when has Built Ford Tough (aka a dozen or so other usernames) not made fun (and worse!)of others? Rude is his trademark! If someone says something positive about their hybrid car (or any other make/model), why does BFT always feel obliged to criticize? |

1 Global warming and atmospheric pollution from fossil fuels cannot be dealt with nearly as effectively as recycling lithium batteries hybrids use. That said, I note that Built Ford Tough proudly states (and most would agree): "when I make a comment, I am rude, stupid and what ever else"!! He then continues (and confirms his own self assessment) by adding a few choice expletives. Nice!! |

1 Interestingly, I don't live in nor anywhere near Windsor! It's a lot like Detroit, an ugly city. For some unknown reason, the server which I'm connected to by my ISP often shows Windsor as its location. Go figure. That said, I don't favor one automaker over another. If I were to choose one, it would be the one which develops the most reliable and environmentally friendly power source. Unfortunately, the big three seem to be lagging in those categories at this time. Hopefully that may change in future. In the meantime, I'll keep on Built Ford Tough's case for his rudest of rude posts. |

1 A well known fact----those who denigrate others with offensive extremes like AOL and Built Ford Tough choose to use, suffer from low self esteem. That said, the only thing it accomplishes is to demonstrate the lack of maturity of the users. |

Toronto Bob,
It's called being a bitter domestic lover. These guys run their mouth and have nothing to say. They are mad because they believe all american should buy domestics , no matter what. Any one who buys an import is a traitor. What these uneducated , ignorant rednecks don't understand is that this economy is based on competition and prices are set based on supply and demand. This economy gets rid of the weak and only the strong survive. Consumers want quality and if the quality is not there then they will not buy it wether the item is DOMESTIC or IMPORT. So, Ford , GM and Dodge are making crap and consumers are not putting up with it. THE PROOF: Sales #s and huge market share loss for domestics over the last 10 years. They are a mess and they better improve their products or else they will not survive. This is why the 3 domestic lovers are so bitter. They want a free pass for domestics and no way in hell are they going to get it. Smart consumers are not longer going to allow that. We are fed up with "buy it just because it's american" propaganda crap. Most americans can't afford to throw their money away anymore. If domestics make a great car/ truck, I'm there. But I really believe they are so far behind that it will not be in my lifetime. |

Really, if those things didn't spew stinky black smoke everywhere, I wouldn't care one bit. The problem I have is they stink, they're noisy and I *never* see one doing any real work, which is presumably what they were built for. Every time I see one, it's just clanking away and pouring out clouds of black smoke while the driver cruises the mall or grocery store parking lot looking for the space closest to the doors. Now that diesel is about $5/gallon, the people who used to drive these things as status symbols are now riding their motorcycles instead. I'm happy to see that, not because of any altruistic notions, but because I don't have to put up with the nasty, smelly smoke and the clanking. What would be great is if someone took about 500 of these $45K junkers and made a gigantic "Cadillac Ranch" display. They could call it "Poserboy Can't Afford His Clunker Ranch".. |

It's interesting how "foot -in-mouth" syndrome has affected AOL and Built Ford Tough.
There's no limit to how rude these two can get. I hope they manage to get through puberty without it becoming hopelessly irreversible. |
