Hilfiger licensee's ex-CFO gets prison for theft
The former chief financial officer of a company that designed handbags for Tommy Hilfiger was sentenced Friday to 5 1/2 years in prison for stealing nearly $20 million from his employer.
Martin Bodner, 60, of Manhattan was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. He sobbed as he apologized to those hurt by the theft, saying he was ashamed of it.
He said he was 'trying to understand why I did the acts that I did, which are out of character.'
But assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel W. Levy said it was hard to call the crimes out of character because they were 'constant and repeated' over roughly seven years.

NYC holiday windows: traditional to abstract
Scenes ranging from the far-out and funky to those of Christmases past are taking shape in the windows of Manhattan's department stores as the holiday shopping season gets under way.
One of the stores taking a less-traditional approach is Bergdorf Goodman, which in five windows surrounds mannequins wearing designer fashions with all-white depictions of the four seasons plus the holiday season.
