Another one bites the dust
Sun Country Airlines declared itself insolvent and filed for bankruptcy yesterday.

To all of those that have made the company what it is, given their blood, sweat and tears I applaud you and wish you the best.
It is a great industry to be in in good times and a rough one in bad times, but those of us in it know we would rather be no where else. Hang in there! |

Pefect timing for the political climate in the US. Once again, a CEO and gang make huge mistakes and it's the little guy, the employees who are out on their luck, although it appears Petty will get his. I know many Sun Country employees and I feel bad for them. We need Sun Country in MSP and NO, I don't want SWA to be the new alternative. I fear the worst on this one.

Do you think it was just a coincidence they filed just after SWA made their announcment to service MSP? They are usually the ones to drive in the final stake.
