Wise decision. The CEO and top 100 executives should reward themselves with a few million for a job well done.

Out of the American Airline companies, only Delta, Alaska/Horizon and Continental are acceptable. AA and United are terrible. I have not tried US Airways but it doesnt sound too good either. Alaska is a really good airline.
By the way Air Canada is cheap junk as well.

Why airlines suck. The passengers want the service of years ago for the price without adjusting for inflation. You complained about the food, so we stopped serving it.
You can bring your own on board. After 911 fares were so cheap you left your car in short term parking becaused you saved so much you didn't care. Notice I wrote 911 and not 9/11. Maybe it was a coincidence, but the terrorists attacked on the day we use for emergency phone calls. The gov't has been VERY carefull to avoid making that connection. You need to get somewhere fast and do it cheap. Buy the cheap fare sit down shut up and take the ride. If you were willing to pay more you'd have a hot meal and free checked bags.

Don't worry. United Airlines will find another way to extort money out of their customers.

The airline business has seen the biggest decline in quality and customer satisfaction of pretty much all industries. All the hidden fees, safety cuts, no food etc. There must be a better way to adjust to inflation, and also, why are the European airlines still serving food on short flights? Even on short 2 hour regional flights they still serve you a hearty sandwich, fruits, chocolate, and whatever else you want.

European airlines don't have the stupid regulations American carriers have. We are in this position because the government has put us there. They do not allow successful airlines to absorb their competition or to drive their competition out of business. What happens then? Successful airlines have to sink down to the level of their stupidist competitor. All airlines are stuck in survival mode because the government only cares about CHEAP fares. They don't care about service or quality just cheap.

Government subsidies LH Germany BA Germany Air France France need I really go on. If the US had a state airline and ran it you'd have this. We had it when the airlines were regulated. Deregulation helped the comsumer. Be carefull what you ask for

OK, now I understand. People certainly need to be careful what they ask for. The government needs to BAIL everyone out now because of people putting too much debt on themselves. What irresponsible consumers....

Did anyone ever figure out who the genius at United Airlines was who came up with this Atlantic charge for food scheme.

Has all the markings of some "has been" who has helped bankrupt four other airlines in the past throwing the lives of these employees into chaos.....

What a cozy little club it is at the top!

Oxygen fee $25
Restroom fee $25.
Restroom fee with water flush $35.

Some passenger fool would probably be willing to buy a standing room only seat and pay a standing room fee thinking this is a novel and new idea to save money
