The FAA are crazy, they will loose this one.Southwest has already proven that the FAA were at fault for not being clear on this matter and for themselfs putting the public at risk for letting the problem go on for months before approching Southwest. Southwest leads the other airlines in continuously making a profit,it seems that the FAA want to see that change. Anyway where does that money go. As an ex employee i can assure you that at SWA safety is # 1. They never cut corners, all their staff are very well trained and they would never take a risk with passengers lives. They would also not take a risk with being fined by the FAA. Some idiot in TULSA is taking this personal, but mark my words he will get burned.

How will FAA "lose" this one? Pay up by the 29th of August or it goes to the Justice Dept. And then there is -Oberstar the Congressman who is all over this.

OKAY lets do the math here AMR was fined 7.1 million dollars and it will be reduce. UAL was fine 18,000 for the repeat as AMR did just like SWA. how come others airline don't get the same fined as SWA. They did the same mistake as SWA. who is stilll treated like in the past. Ual with a anti skid problem and flying aircraft with un safe skidded off a runnway shuting down the runnway causing delays for others. They only fine 18,000 well i see faa is still bed with ual also failed there maintenance audits in IADMM for four years in a row and that was reported by faa and they get 18,000 fine
