Perhaps it will be American Airlines. AMR/AAL wants to shrink domestically while growing internationally. LUV/SWA already has a popular domestic product and is growing steadily.
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.

Never going to happen: Two EXTREMELY different company cultures that would never consider mixing. Southwest will be looking for a company that shares it's vision and ethics, not a company (Like AMR's American Airlines) that lacks both.

I dont think that I could fly Ryanair internationally being that I am 6'3. If I was 4'2 then I could fly them. Southwest has a good seat pitch vs Ryanair which has no seat pitch. I think it would be bad for business if SWA goes with Ryanair unless Ryanair increases its seat pitch.

They will need to have assigned seating to do this.
