I smell layoffs, cutbacks, reduction in payroll for the hard working rampers and knuckle dragging maint. boys. Oh I was so close to retirement too. Must be bad karma?

Lousy service and high cost. Well, surely they get a great way of getting more customers! I see the future: AA will go the way of Eastern, PanAm, People Express and many others - way way under!

Why not just advertise: Please Don't Fly Us!
They are making it such a nickel and dime hassle to already hassled customers. Charge for the first bag? How about a discount if you fly nude.

One can blame part of the problem on oil, the rest of the problem is service ie putting the customer last and the way AA is managed. Since there are so many chiefs and not enough indians no one in management has to take respondsibility for bad decisions. So what if a customer misses their vacation and has to stay at the airport all day, or misses a family event who cares, no one at AA is going to get blamed for it so who cares. Who cares that a once proud AA Eagle cared about people not how much one can stuff in their own pocket. Until AA figures out who put them in the number one position to begin with and can manage the company like a business, AA will tell spin all the way to bankruptcy. No matter what the price of oil is.
