Just read a story that DAL pilots have obtained permission to picket NWA bases. Are the DAL pilots picketing against the NWA Pilots? Two unions picketing each other?

ALPA needs to show Leadership. It is laughable a the same union cannot carry foward majority of its members. The Merger will go foward. At 100plus oil, and Share Holders and AirFrance breathing down Anderson n Steenland, it was a given. Pilots, be prepared for a parred down airline. It is economy stupid, to borrow from the EX Pres C. It will be same at other airlines. Foreign ownership is here as per the next phase of the open skies agreement. And no matter what the union antics may be, you cannot stop the free market forces. All this wishful thinking of re regulation is old. When you unleashed the market forces and transcon travel is 139 $ ow, try tellin granpa that he has to pay more for inefficient airline models. Dinos became extinct. So fasten your seat belts coz its going to a bumpy ride

And DL NW get over and come together so we can all see what the other matchups are goin to look like. You have a choice..... bitch and file lawsuits or work with each other and reach a consensus. It will never please every one. But neither did the current Presidents second term was agreeable to all. You have to work together or be sidelined. Look at US Air.... East Pilot vrs West Pilots.

Ivana tell you something,(pun intended)what you don't know is a lot. If foreign airlines, and ownership were so great half the foreign airlines would not be on the verge of going out of business. It is now cheaper to fly almost anywhere than to drive. I would not call that an inefficient airline model. The fact is if our idiot president (sorry, I don't mean to offend anybody who voted for this mindless man-child twice) had not set the world on fire and oil was only say three or four times the price it was when the supreme court put him in office airlines would be making billions. Be careful what you wish for, the day you fly Mexicana from JFK to ORD will be a scary one indeed.

Be especially scared when the First Officer is Malaysian, the Captain is Vietnamese, and they do not share a common first language. The first time there is a stressful situation or something goes wrong, it will be a disaster. We will write another chapter of aviation history in blood.

I think this is really one union picketing itself. Aren't both these groups supposedly represented by ALPA?

Also, in the case of East USAIR vs West USAIR, aren't both those groups also represented by ALPA?

Sounds very interesting.

As you might know that has already happened. A simple pressurization problem morphed into a freezing, light headed, slow death for a 737 crew and their passengers in Europe just over a year ago. The captain, and copilot did not speak the same language and could not get their sh$t together before they went sleepy-bye.

It was Al Gore that put Bush in office not the supreme court...Al Gore and his Demoncrat Flunkys wanted to rape the Constitution by allowing the " One Man One vote " provision to be trampled on for the sake of POWER.....Go get some Demoncrat to send you to school to learn a little about Truth , Justice and the American way!!!!!

Put down the Ann Coulter centerfold. Gore wanted to count the vote that each voter had cast, and Bush through Bush V Gore stopped it.

Something tells me this upcoming "marriage" is doomed from the start. All the bickering between the pilot groups has the flying public wondering if any CEO really gives a damn about the folks who pay their salaries. Greed prevails!! Good luck DL, you'VE REALLY picked a sorry partner this time.

I guess only the Demoncrats know which votes belong to who. They can tell by the type and size of the Chad and the amount of pressure put through the punchout. As always once the Demoncrats get POWER they Dont Want anyone else to share or have it.The Chad mess was brought about by the Demoncrats who only wanteds to count Dade county and forget the rest of the country. It was the Demoncrats that insisted to use the punchout machine's..Get it straight , but then again Demoncrats always get it straight, they are NEVER WRONG...RE write the constitution as they see fit..........Stop listening to the Failed Air America

Delta pilots don't want date of hire senority which puts NWA pilots at advantage. NWA pilots better dump ALPA so they have a chance at keeping DOH. Look at the USAirways/ America West mess.

2 Cents, you are mean. How do u know if or not Iam smart. And You, Edward, The Foreigners are comming. The most profitable Airlines are ones that are not US.... SQ, LH, AF/KL, BA, Quantas, Cathay, Virgin. They are ones that will own the US airlines just to tap into the Biggest Air Mrkt..USA. Its just economics. And shame on you ALPA etc whatever unions scare mongers. No Chineese/Vietnamase nationals cannot get employment in the US. Go see how other US companies, Microsoft,GE hire and work with Non US nationals. It is the best thing to happen to US airlines. The greed of unions - check out UA, and poor management, again check out UA. Some companies have to be reivented. The merger of DL and NW will change the Game and the rules. And I dont work for either, but the combined DL will be a powerhouse, if only the Unions can be curbed. Work with one another and dont try to get the better end. But Pilots are human, and greed is our nature.

Hey Ivana it is Morons like you that is the reason this country is going down the tubes. Your dumbass reason, sure yeah outsource everything, them more and more people will be out of work, and not buying houses or cars or taking trips, or buying food, yeah lets all work for $8.00 hr. Let me ask you something Ivana and please try to answer it truthful. Can you live on $8.00 Hr? I dont think you can, and this is what the Unions are good for is keeping the working man with someting in his pocket. Now I will be the first to tell you that unions are not perfect, but tell me is anything in this world perfect? I work for United as a Ramp serviceman, I lost $12,000 a yr from what I made, that hurt my wife and Son and what I was able to provide for them, my pension, GONE! how would you like someone to take what you have worked for your whole life and say sorry thanks for coming in. We need unions in this country, you say you dont work in this industry, then you know what, stop commenting on something you havent got a fricken clue on. You dont like it here, please get the hell out, this country needs to bring back jobs in America so people can go buy a house and 2 cars and 2.5 kids, WHO THE HELL CAN AFFORD THAT NOW ADAYS????? PS oh yeah how is the real estate market going....LOL

Tom from Bev, Ma: Outsourcing or Globalization is here and no union can stop it. Can you stop Microsoft or GE from selling to the rest of the world. Airline seats are a commodity. Jobs will move and that is why I have to continually ZERO hours and are still on payroll for Medical Benefits. This entails UA has to hire more F.Attendants. And guess who is laughing all the way to the Bank. The Union which now has collected more mandatory union dues. It was the greed of the baggage handlers at Eastern which hastened their demise. They just wouldnt allow cross utilization between baggage, ramp and cleaning functions. Union members need to hold thier officials accountable to not just increased hourly pay but ethics and moral leadership. As for the UA flt attendnants, why would anyone hove employess on payroll when they dont show up for a single day of work in a month. Will you keep them? Even though they are your UNION Brother and sisters? You know my answer. And yes I have taken paycuts, I did go back to schol but back with the airline because I love my life here. So dont be so quick to judge. Forgiveness is a virtue many of us forget sometimes

again Ivana you have no clue, and this is why you are so stupid, you want glogalization then guess what, no one will have any money to to anyting, no one will be able to by a home, or buy a car, or take there family on a vacation, Im so glad you care about the working person, and the flight attendants show up every single day and put up with passengers calling them all sorts of crude names and for what? so they can barely get by, your a rich person I can tell, and you have no clue on what is happining in this country, go back to your foreign land and stay there its people like you that will send this country from the best place to live to the worst. Go tell all the Americans out of work that you feel for them then come back and talk to me, we are in a recession and its your fault thanks!
