This is excellent news. Delta Airlines is
the sexiest US Major Airline, and is about to
continue their march to global domination by
aquiring NWA.

I for one shall be doing the Toyota dance in celebration.

Deltajets are too sexy for their liveries!

:)

Sexiest? They have an average of 75 years old flight attendants on 90% of their flights, and you call them sexiest?
Try Singapore airlines, then let's talk about sexy !

Obviously none of you have seen Deltalina!

However, when I was talking about sexy, I was referring to their aircraft, like tender young
N666DN, 757~232 of the decade!

Capt., call it what you want; merger, acquisition (acquiring), take-over (Texas 7 card poker), friendly leveraged buy-out (LBO), consolidation, a shot-gun wedding (ATL/MSP), open-skies-agreement (around-the-world in 80 days), it will all wash the same; Delta Airlines, Inc. will run this DELTA/NORTHWEST COMPANY.. Buy DAL Stock ASAP, before it goes to $27 bucks a share .. LOL !!

ECG, Georgia still recognizes 'Common Law Marriages', so the Bride (NWA) will wed the Groom (DAL) to eliminate all the (get all your finances in order) hazzles, such as,'Pre-Nep Agreements', property-money issues, who gets what Employees, CYA Labor Issues (union vs non-union), little things like that, and a Big-O' jug of Red-Neck Moon-shine helps ... Ya'll Come, Ya Hear .. LOL !!

Once they start parking airplanes and laying off employees, then it won't be pretty.

I guarntee that will happen. That is how the merger game works take two airlines and get rid of at least half the assests and employees of one to save money or I should say efficencies!

What Delta is after is NWA's Pacific route and hub in NRT. DL will get rid of B747-400, DC9s, MSP and MEM hub while closing CVG on DL side leaving at least 20,000-40,000 employees out of jobs.

DAL can't get rid of the -400's. DAL only has 8 airplanes that can cross the Pacific now, and it'd be years before they could order new ones to replace the 16 -400's in use now.

Yeah, right Fred. The entire domestic system and DTW are insignificant. If you dump 40,000 employees, who do you dump? Can DL just close major terminals with no resistance from someone? Be something to watch. I think your predictions are wanting. Dumping 40,000 employees would make them smaller than they are now. NWA only has 30,000.

The March to Global Domination Doth Continue.

There is no substitute for a Deltajet, Jack.

Too sexy for their liveries, it is the Deltajet,
that shall inherit the Earth.

Southwest crappijets had best be scrambling for
their mouseholes.

I bet when N6707A stalks the tarmac, WNjets
avert their eyes in terror.

The Cat is back, and is very upset!!!

There should be a Deltajet in every pot.
