The importance of story-drawers
Since the end of college I have only read books I instantly enjoy. I found Jeannette Walls' memoir, The Glass Castle , on one of my bowing white bookcases recently, tucked between the fibrous texts I absorbed in school.

Jeannette Walls is the author of three books, most famously "The Glass Castle," a searing but hopeful memoir about her childhood with a dad who thought the FBI was after him, a mom who saved a Hershey bar for herself when her kids were hungry, and a house where the toilet was a yellow bucket.
