What's next for the Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic have been evaluating talent and trying to add some pieces around all-star Dwight Howard while juggling free-agent action and summer-league play.

trade jj and cook may be add augustine so you can get a pg a pf and a draft pick

Trade JJ and Cook to OKC for Ridnour and Wilcox. That will take care of the back up PG and bring us a solid PF. Wilcox is in the last year of his deal and is going to leave OKC after this year anyways to play for a contender. Or trade the same people to NJ for Armstrong and Swift. Or the same people to Memphis for Warrick and Crittenton.
That is 3 possible trades with 3 teams that would take care of all of our needs. One last trade would be huge. Reddick, Turk, Augustine and draft picks to Charlotte for Felton and Okafor (both players are unhappy and going to leave). |

Trade seldom used bench players for another teams starters. Great Idea. |

when they are going to trade Arroyo ??
i can't wait !!! that was the most wasted 4 million a year contact the I ever seen |
|
Just f'ing release JJ, its obvious that his stock is lower than Enron.

What's next? Hopefully they will leave Orlando. Already details of the financial bath Orlando is taking has come out - them not building the 5 gyms as in agreement. Please leave Orlando - I don't want my taxes to go up to support a bunch of million dollar thugs

Who will we see shine once we let him go and he gets play time somewhere else? Of all players considered being traded, Dooling is going to be a bad loss of a mature, waiting to breakout as a key player here or as it appears due to Magic's poor strategic planning, somewhere else. He is also, a classy NBA player which the Magic have a reputation for and shouldn't lose sight of it's player personalities that "work" for Orlando.

I was thinking last night when I saw Hayes & Najera signed with the Nets that the Magic now has a Great chance to end up in 9th place in the East! That would be so cool.
:) |
Haha yeah, my thoughts exactly. Some people offer up the most asinine trade ideas on here. Here's an thought... Maybe we should trade JJ Redick, James Augustine and a bucket of seashells to the Hornets for Chris Paul! That would sure fix our point guard situation! |
|
In response to both of you. Maybe I was dreaming with the Charlotte trade but the other three are completly possible. You can keep your sea shells and make a necklace out of them. At least I can come up with ideas or options. Enjoy your walk on the beach... |

Lets trade JJ for a set of leg extenders for Nelson
|
|
|
The Wizards just signed Dee Brown to an offer sheet. That's the kind of inexpensive defensive energy player the Magic should have been looking for at least as a third PG, and for depth.

PLEEEEASE, educate yourself before making a statement, The Magic cannot trade Carlos Arroyo because he is a free agent. But I can bet that he will be resigned so stay tuned and enjoy and most of all read before yo make comments in this forum. |

Two of the three trades you're proposing doesn't work, the third one include a player that is an unrestricted free agent (Amstrong) http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tradere... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tradere... |

Eh, is that supposed to be an insult? Apparently, you think that in order to have your own ideas and options, you must post them publicly on the Orlando Sentinel message board for this particular story. Evidently, it's not feasible that ideas can be shared on the message board for another story or (God forbid!) aloud among friends. Heck, I guess my opinions on Orlando Magic off-season activity aren't really opinions if I just don't choose to voice them publicly at all, either -- by your thinking that is. Either you did not think that hard about what you said before you said it or you are just not very good at throwing an insult. Either way, your attempt is futile. But hey, for your sake and the sake of the Magic, I'd love it if they could find a way to work one of the trades you mentioned, and I hope they do. |
|
Is this a joke? Dee Brown retired from basketball years ago. "Pump it up and air it out" whatever it is your smoking |
|
Maybe the Sonics trade would work if Hedo was in it. And the Grizzles would work if you switched out Cook for Augustine. With the Nets even though Armstrong is a free agent it could be a sign and trade. |

It would be so cool if you were at the bottom of Lake Apopka with bricks tied around your ankles!!! I'm going to make it my own personal quest to dog your every comment on this board, until you slither back into whatever hole you came out of and leave this site to the ones whom it truly belongs, the fans of the Orlando Magic. In case you didn't know, I really don't like you. So take that "fake" Duke degree that you bought on-line and shove it!!! Tell your mom I said Hi! |
Is any of what you wrote supossed to be an insult? What idea can you come up with or do you just go around ripping other people down on message boards cause you have no creativity and need to make yourself feel bigger. |
|
That's funny. The only way the trade would work is if the magic threw in a million dollars and 2 future second round picks. |
