We'd want more than just Beidrins and a first that for Rubio. If it was this time next year and the Warriors had another top ten pick I could see it, or Monta Ellis and Beidrins for them, but not just Beidrins and a uncertain first rounder for Rubio. Will Beidrins ever become anything more than just a decent shot blocking, rebounding C? I don't ever seem him becoming an All Star and that's what Kahn is looking for, not another good role player.

why try to win in 3 years? the chance to make a move is NOW...... everyone wants to free up space for next year, and the wolves aren't attracting a top notch guy anyway

how about rubio and a bunch of these expiring contracts like cardnial, mad dog, and thomas (aquired from wash) to the bulls for a #1, deng and gordon and a in a sign and trade
works because........ wolves get 2 quality starters to add to fill 2 gaping holes........ bulls essentially get box office draw rubio for deng (they were losing gordon anyway... this at least gets him west) and they cough up a #1 because we clear them about 20 mil next year to run at d wade or a top shelf guy, since chi town is somewhere they might actually consider

for those of u that dispairage this remember, bosh and wade are not consisering mn, and as to dropping 20 mil on 2 guys, remember we currently have a revolving door of 3 or 4 shoddy contracts with guys that can't ball equalling that or more
rather have 2 cats that can play

think about it kahn!

reasons it has to be chicago......
unique situation with gordon headed elsewhere can gain value in a sign and trade since bulls could get him out of their division

can get 2 quality, young players with reasonable contracts (10 mil range rather than 20 mil range) essentially for rubio

chicago legit destination for big name FA's gives up a #1 for cap space

chicago only considers this with a lower tier west squad so they give up max value to get what they want.... gordon out of east, cap space, and a ticket seller for someone who kind of lost they're role with salmons' emergence

this is the ONLY deal worth doing for rubio

starting 5- flynn, gordon, deng, love, and aljeff
(believe all 26 or younger)

strong backups- ellington, bassy, big craig smith, gomes, carney, and hopefully an improved brewer

we would be exciting and could contend with this!
could find a servicable big FA like swift to block shots or deal craig for one if needed
gives us possibly 3 mid to high #1s next year

Whats sup with our 45th choice. This dude from Florida. avg. 27agme in highschool and Ive never seen him play. Seriously Id' rather have him as our Pgg. & our newest T-pup .. Ellington. I think thats his name was the best 3 point shooter in the clutch in the nation ; I think the best shooter in all of college basketball. Prove me wrong. He can shoot it. Ive never seen Ellington make a turnover, and hes' not 6'4.(allaness)(Rubio) Flynn and Brewer are pieces to a pressure like defense. & Flynn could be an all-star, a all-star caliber Defender. We don't need him right now. We got a PG. thats 6'6. he can back you down like Mgrady and shoot 3s'. Ala Antwan Walker style. Id' love to have
the steal of the draft start and prove the money isnt' everything. Let Flynn and Rubio finish High-school. Teach Cory how to use his triple-threat more and watch where hes' starting his offense from. Thanzx.. Signed W.Hamilton&Khalid El-Amin

The 45th pick - Calathes was traded to Dallas and he is expected to play overseas.

Also, Taylor mentioned the Timberwolves do not have a backup for Ryan Gomes at the 3 - Doesn't Corey Brewer play the three??? Brewer is 6' 9" and is a 3 - do the Wolves plan on moving him to the shooting guard position???

Gordon has agreed to a deal with Detroit according to fox sports so that would be a dead deal.

Resist the temptation!

I am glad I didn't read a headline today that the Wolves offered any of these free agents a contract. I have no desire to overpay for the likes of David Lee and Charlie V.

Even though Tony made a good point that most likely top FA next year (Bosh, Wade, etc) won't be considering MN, we should still not jump at moves for the sake of making moves. It is too bad the talent pool is so shallow because this would be a good year for bargins.

The Chicago idea sounded pretty good, but without Gordon I'll hold onto Rubio.

Reason it won't be Chicago (besides the fact that Gordon is gone): Derrick Rose. Rose & Rubio? Haven't you been reading why Rubio is hesitant to join the Wolves?

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Scorpio

It will be easy to let things get on top of you today, especially if you're already feeling rather tired and listless. Do yourself a favor and keep away from anyone who often makes you feel a bit fed up or defensive, because they're the last person you want to be around at the moment. They'll make your spirits sink down to your ankles in a flash, and who needs that?
