It's knee jerk. Everybody is reacting to the Jefferson trade.

This is exciting at least. I like to see us actually making moves this offseason than sitting idle, considering we are well within striking distance of a title. I know VC is 32 and is "past his prime", but he still avg. 20pts 5ast last season... plus lewis and hedo will be 30 this season too. Ryan Anderson was also included in this deal. He has played well as a rookie, will get better, and is already an upgrade over batman.

Really hate to see CLee go, but have to admit that this kinda makes sense. Moreover, if for some reason we can't resign Hedo, we def. have somebody who can create his own shot, score from outside, and distribute the ball.

That is a great deal for Orlando. VC only has two years left on his deal, so they are getting a steal without commiting long term to VC. Its a no-brainer.. Way to go Otis!

Giving up Lee is the only thing that makes me cringe. Other than that it's a pretty decent move but I wonder if this closes the door on Hedo?

Plus it opens up a ton of holes on the bench

I'm okay with this as long as we hold onto Courtney Lee. Vince has been injury prone his whole career. Give up JJ, but not CLee....

Lee is going to be a star in this league and giving him up for 2 good years from Vince just isn't worth it. It'd be a great deal if they could substitute JJ or MP for Lee, but if New Jersey wouldn't accept that then I wouldn't pull the trigger.

The Magic just made the finals, I just don't see the need for a move this big. We're going to lose Hedo, but everyone knows he's very hit or miss. Even with him gone there will be no lack of scorers on this team and plenty of players who can create their own shot. To be honest, I can see it being a bit of addition by subtraction since his sloppy play and poor decision making will be gone. We need to tweak, sure, but making a move this big just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me when you're already winning.

I hate losing Lee. Put JJ in place of Lee and I'll be much happier.

Not a fan of giving up Lee, the kid has a lot of potential. It would be interesting having VC, a Mainland High grad, coming to play in Orlando. But, I think that the price is a bit steep.

I would've been all over this trade, but putting Lee in the package just isn't smart. Lee did not play like he was a rookie for the most part and was a great piece in the playoffs. If this trade does go through, I'd be upset but not mad as we would get a 20ppg guy. The trade would be a steal if the Magic could somehow replace Lee with JJ and/or AJ

Dumb move to get rid of Lee for another Golden but oldie player.

I won't miss all the missed layups by Rafer, that's for sure. How many layups did the guy miss this year??? I can't count them all. Drove me friggin crazy!

WTF!!!! This is a HORRIBLE deal! Vince Carter is washed up and doesn't give a damn about playing hard. Why would they give up a talented young player like Courtney Lee? This will come back to bite them in the A88 just like the Ariza deal. Disgusting!!
