France came from behind in the final quarter to beat Lithuania 95-93 and win the bronze medal at the Basketball World Cup on Saturday. Lithuania led by seven points entering the fourth period, and center Jonas Valanciunas scored five points to put Lithuania ahead 80-77 with three minutes to play.

Korver: Deng says Ferry, Hawks not racist

An ex-teammate says Luol Deng told him that he was "shocked" at statements made by Danny Ferry, but in no way thought the Atlanta Hawks general manager or anybody with the team was racist. Kyle Korver , who plays for the Hawks and was a teammate of Deng's for two seasons with the Chicago Bulls , told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he reached out to him about Ferry's controversial comments.

Lakers Jordan Clarkson raising eyebrows in purple and gold

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed rookie point guard Jordan Clarkson from the University of Missouri, a second-round draft pick, 46th overall purchased for $1.8 million from the Washington Wizards. The purple and gold signed the 6-foot-5 combo guard to a fully guaranteed minimum salary contract at $507, 336 for 2014-15 and a non-guaranteed contract at $845, 059 for 2015-16.

Clippers re-sign free agent Hedo Turkoglu

The Clippers have re-signed free-agent forward Hedo Turkoglu, who played in 38 games with the team last season. The 35-year-old Turkoglu is a 14-year NBA veteran who also has played for Orlando, Phoenix, Toronto, San Antonio and Sacramento.

Serbia beats France, will play U.S. for World Cup basketball title

Milos Teodosic scored 24 points and Serbia reached the championship game of the Basketball World Cup by beating France, 90-85, on Friday night. Teodosic helped Serbia lead by as much as 18, but Nicolas Batum of the Portland Trail Blazers nearly brought the French all the way back, finishing with 35 points.

Report: Kobe back in Germany for knee procedure
