I think Joe Nathan underestimates us... we've seen this club do some great things since coming out of the dung heap that was 1993-2000. Way too many people I know said,'oh, they have a chance, they always do. I'm just not really counting on it. But I expect there to be some sort of run.'
Call it a Vikings complex of sorts... they are always right there in the thick of it, though can never get over that hump. We expect a run, we've seen it too many times to ignore.
Go Twins!

Thanks for the research. Was wondering how many 163's there have been. Glad they don't play 164 and 165 anymore. I knew they could and knew they would. was there in 1987, so I know a little about probabilities. Nobody thought they could then, so here we go again.

So the Twins beat the Tigers 11-7 this season but it doesn't matter? Have I got that correct? Then what was the point of playing those games? I don't get it. HELP!

And let us not forget. It was our dear Twins who remain the only team in baseball to win the WS in seven with all home victories, TWICE! Go Twinks!

Agreed: the team with the better record against the other should be in the play-offs. And most of us would agree even if it were Detroit with the better record.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Scorpio

A loved one is very assertive under the Full Moon tonight. You'll only make it worse if you come down like a ton of bricks, given that Mars is retrograde and it's a lunar eclipse tonight. Besides, do you really want to spoil this evening's celebrations because you've had a flaming row? If possible, live and let live, so you can have a really happy New Year!
