Cardinals honor Allen Craig, Lance Lynn as top minor-league performers

The St. Louis Cardinals announced Monday infielder/outfielder Allen Craig has been named their top player in the minor leagues, while Lance Lynn was named their top minor-league pitcher.

Heartbreaker! Wild pitch sinks Redbirds at Triple A championship

When David Freese's deep sacrifice ball to centerfield allowed Jon Jay to score from third, tying their game against the Durham Bulls at four in the top of the seventh inning, there wasn't a player in the Redbirds dugout that didn't believe they were on their way to the Triple-A baseball national championship.

Redbirds are division champions

A bunch of guys who started, or spent, part of the season with the St. Louis Cardinals helped push the Memphis Redbirds into the Pacific Coast playoffs for the first time since 2000 Saturday night with a sweep of the Oklahoma City RedHawks, 7-2 and 5-3 before 10,456 at AutoZone Park.
