Here's a bad omen for your season. Alex Gordon first felt pain in his right hip on Opening Day.
Hey, the Royals won a couple games, versus a divisional opponent, to boot. This could be a very interesting month in terms of roster moves, etc.
Another season, another season with only one Royal in the All-Star Game. Sigh....not that anyone other than Zack deserved it.
Royals on the Farm 7/1 -- Cortes arrested
It's always a good day in the minors when your so-called top pitching prospect gets arrested for public urination and disorderly conduct.

Royals on the Farm 6/10 -- Rocks throw another gem
The draft update post I mentioned yesterday is gonna have to wait a little bit. I haven't been horribly overenthused about the Royals' moves on day 2, rds 4-30. 16/27 picks were pitchers, and they didn't get a shortstop until rd 15.
Ho-Ram being DFA'd is surprisingly correct

Sky Sox dropped by Royals 11-5
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox were downed by the Omaha Royals 11-5 Sunday in front of 7,444 fans, the biggest crowd Security Service Field has seen this season.
Well, that parade of pitching slop wasn't quite what Royals fans were expecting out of Luke Hochevar in his first KC start of '09. This is the first loss of the year where you felt the echoes of the Royals teams of the last few years, and I didn't like it.

OMAHA, Neb. - The Nashville Sounds came up on the short end of a 6-5 loss to the division-rival Omaha Royals on Friday evening at Rosenblatt Stadium in the opener of a five-game series.

With this post I pass Hank Aaron. Yes, 756th post here. Of course, I don't really pass Aaron because not all the posts have been home runs, but 756 is 756.
