Being the son of a big league baseball player is no guarantee of success

The sons of former big league batting champion Carney Lansford haven't found the going very easy in their attempts to follow their father, who won his AL crown in the strike-shortened 1981 season, when he hit .336 for the Oakland A's, to big league fame and fortune.
