Trout, Weaver lift Angels to win over Astros

The Astros couldn't touch anything the Angels' Jered Weaver threw, while Scott Feldman couldn't throw Angels center fielder Mike Trout anything he'd miss. Two of the Angels' best carried them Saturday in a 5-2 win over the Astros, a loss that still counts as one of the most compelling games they've been a part of this year.

On The Astros: Are we still going to be complaining about the Astros tanking in 2017?

When the Astros fired Bo Porter a few people in the baseball media used the opportunity to fire the latest round of shots at the team, a seemingly endless criticism and damnation of the team and its front office. I'm not sure if some people just have an axe to grind or if there is some statue of limitations that hasn't run out yet on tanking, but if folks who follow baseball outside of Houston haven't noticed, the Astros aren't tanking anymore.
