Gerardo Parra whacked an RBI triple in last night's 4-3 victory over San Diego. Don't look now, but the Arizona Diamondbacks, the second-worst team in Major League Baseball, currently have the hottest win streak going in the bigs.

Doug Davis finally got something to show for a good outing. The Arizona left-hander earned his first victory in a month and the Diamondbacks matched their season-best four-game winning streak by beating the San Diego Padres 4-3 on Tuesday night.

In his past four starts, Doug Davis has an ERA of 1.69. Over that time period, however, he has zero wins.

It's probably safe to call Doug Davis the best 3-8 pitcher in baseball. While that sounds equal parts oxymoronic and moronic, Davis has pitched extremely well over the past few weeks.
