Oh god no, PLEASE, don't even waste the trip. Why in the world would they even bother to look at that washed up bum? He's finished!!! I would hate to see him in Yankee pinstripes. Never liked the guy and never will! At one time he was loaded with talent but those days are well behind him!

I would love to see Pedro go to the Yankees only so I could listen to those 2 dipsh!t homers Kay & Sterling tell us Pedro's the next coming of Cy Young. Remember Susie Waldman creaming in her pants when Clemens announced his return

. I sense a little jealousy Jimbbbbbbbbbbbboo
Yankees don't need this 1st ballot hall of famer they have the Joba-meister. What a joke, the guy has a few months of 8th inning relief quality and everone gets on the Joba parade. Has anyone noticed this guy doesn't throw consistenly more than 91/92mph.
I hope Yankees don't get Pedro, they would definately be better with him

I've seen him throw 91-92 but that is usually the start of the game. Every start he was hitting 94-96 by the 2nd and 3rd innings. Don't pick and choose your facts. Joba's main problem is limiting his walks and not going long enough, which are relative. Other than that he has a 3.89 era in the AL, which is pretty good. And he is 23 years old. He is only going to get better as his command gets better. You don't have to be a hater. But if you're a Mets fan, I understand because you could've been one of the many that had Pelfrey in the Hall by the end of last season. Doesn't he have a mid 4's era in the NL - now that's a joke. Clemens with the Yanks averaged an era over 4. With Houston mid 2's.

Joe, don't give Arod or Jeter off tonight. We have waited 8 years for the Yanks to return here.

The Yankees better show up in Miami this weekend. They easily could have lost 8 out of their last nine games if not for defensive blunders by Castillo last Friday and Elijah Dukes on Tuesday night. They haven't been playing good ball lately and need to start HITTING!

All stats from steroid users 5 years ago aside, Pelfrey has pitched better than Joba this year so far and he's only 25 and will get better too. But it's kind of silly to compare because they have very different styles, Joba is a power pitcher and Pelfrey a sinkerball pitcher.
I've only watched Joba pitch a few times this year but each time his stuff does not look electric like it did last year and certainly not when he came up in 07. Don't know why they would look at Pedro, he is done.

I agree Jim he hasn't been a decent pitcher since the first few months of 06 and then it was all downhill. I guess they are not very pleased with Wang, Joba and Pettite of late.

You're kidding right? Pedro couldn't get out of the first inning last year with out giving up a homer and a few runs. He will make no one better for any length of time, stick a fork in him.

Since you haven't been accurate with a prediction in years, I'm thinking an endorsement from you is like the kiss of death!!! Would you predict he'd win AT LEAST 18 again??? That was the best!

Will, I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but, you are the voice of reason. KAT thinks being a candidate for a 1st round selection to the HOF means your career is without end!

Right you are Will. The guy has been finished for several years, but shhhhhh, don't tell KAT! I'm waiting to hear him say Pedro, if hurried back, can still be a cy young candidate!!!

Now who'll be his daddy if Pedro indeed dons pinstripes? Petey is done. Imagine if he faced the Red Sox?

His reputation isn't spotless when he throws down Don Zimmer when he charged the mound that day. Who's his daddy?

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Virgo

Mercury is turning retrograde at just the right time, because it's telling you to consider the validity of your long-term aims and aspirations. If they stand about as much chance of seeing the light of day as you do of winning the Lottery, then you need to streamline them or even abandon them and start again. So think about what you want from life and how you're going to get it. Children and romance may be quite erratic during this phase.
