A Mother's Day gift to Bethany and her Angels. Thank God that devastated family will not have to go through the agony of reliving that night at a trial. Someone showed Gagnon the light. Let's hope the judge puts him away for a long time. Hopefully, the family will find closure, and some measure of peace.

I'd like to be the first person to hi-5 the judge if he gives Gagnon the max 50 years.
God Bless the Griffin family. |

I now that it must be terrible for the family killed but what about Gagnons family?? I go to the same school he did and am just a year behind his sister Savannah, he is a good person and so is their family. Locking him up for fifty years won't bring back the family it will only take one more loved one away.

The Gagnon's family gets to go to visit Michael in prison and spend time with him there. The Griffin family doesn't have that luxury. They get to go and place flowers at a head stone and relive their lives through pictures and memories.
Your right, fifty years in prison won't bring back a family that was senselessly destroyed by a selfishly thoughtless act...But it does ensure that Michael will never have the chance to drive drunk ever again and destroy another family. |

I think he should be severely punished but fifty years is too much... there are people so much worse then Michael that only spend minimal time in jail. Our justice system is UNjust! He knows what he did and those poor victims will always be on his conscience. |

The odds of him actually getting 50 years in prison is slim to none. A judge is more likely to place a smaller sentence for someone who is remorseful over their crime. Fifty years is the maximum sentence allowable under the circumstances. This doesn't mean that is what he is going to get.
If I were a betting man, I would bet that he doesn't get sentenced to more than 15 years with a large fine and community service. |

I understand he is remorseful and I hope this incident will always occupy his mind. And your right that his sentence wont bring back this family, but he as to understand you play the game you've got to play by the rules. I personally hope he rots in prison, he's a habitual drinker and I believe this wasn't his first DUI offense. Remember play the game, got to play by the rules. For this guy GAME OVER. |
